Ever since January 1, 2019 ticked over, here at Elevate we have been inundated with vacate notices and trying to re let properties or lease out new properties we have secured.
It seems like a lot of people made their New Year’s resolution to find a new home, rent out their property or make a change of some degree – not highly unusual at this time of year, but certainly we have noticed a sizable increase from previous years.
So far, across Sydney the results to date have been mixed, with some properties taking longer to lease out, but some, we are surprised ourselves by the number of people through the open homes. Sometimes you just can’t pick it.
What we are seeing more and more though, is that modern properties that are well located and priced competitively are seeing excellent numbers, a quick turnaround and good results to boot.
So, if you are thinking of renovating in 2019, this will ease the vacancy time, attract a better- quality tenant, increase the value of the property and don’t forget the tax depreciation benefits that go along with this.
If you want to find out more, please get in touch and we can assess what your current rent is and where it could be with a renovated property or with basic improvements such as a fresh coat of paint or new flooring.
Questions we can help with
- How much rent can we get with basic or advanced works?
- What is the process to undertake these works?
- How much time does it take to do these works?
Here is to a great 2019!
